Gingoog City Water District - Human Resource Information Management System
Gingoog City Water District (GCWD) needed a centralized and efficient way to manage employee data, so I developed a full-featured Human Resource Information Management System (HRIMS) using Laravel 9 and MySQL. This system was designed to store and organize all essential employee information—such as personal records, training history, and employment details—for quick and secure access. Key features include automated generation and printing of Personal Data Sheets (PDS) and leave application forms, simplifying administrative tasks. With an intuitive dashboard, the HR department can now manage records, monitor employee movements, and retrieve documents with ease. The platform offers role-based access for enhanced security and supports long-term data management for HR compliance and audits.

Client Challenges
GCWD’s HR team previously relied on manual filing systems and spreadsheets, which made retrieving employee records slow and prone to human error. Generating required documents like PDS and leave forms was time-consuming and inconsistent, especially during high-demand periods. The lack of a centralized digital system hindered quick access to employee histories, affecting everything from performance reviews to compliance with civil service audits. Data security was also a concern, with sensitive information scattered across various formats and locations.
Result After Completion
The newly implemented HRIMS provided a unified, secure, and efficient solution for managing GCWD’s employee data. Administrative tasks such as record retrieval, PDS generation, and leave processing became significantly faster and more accurate. The system reduced paperwork, minimized errors, and allowed HR staff to focus more on strategic tasks rather than manual processing. With structured and searchable data, the HR department is now better equipped to support employee management, planning, and government reporting.
